Got Good Bones™ had the opportunity to attend the World Market Center (WMC) Summer 2016 Market. Jonathan, (the GGB Interior Designer) and I got to spend several days in the massive complex. There is so much excitement!! Its so amazing to see all the new ideas and concepts of what is up and coming in design. They also have tents (If you can call them that) as well as two HUGE buildings with more of the “permanent residents” of the WMC. Imagine a mall with stores that only deal with furniture and home decor and all the other stuff you can fit “into” your home. It is a massive undertaking- but once again they pulled it off.
The tents housed many of the vintage markets- some antiques, industrial, jewelry, stones, stationery products, paper products…etc….Most of this area was cash and carry. So it was so tempting to go crazy in each booth…
To try to sum up what one sees at one of these events is virtually impossible. To see it is to believe it.
I met some amazing people! I even saw old friends!!
I had a favorite- yes. But it seemed that I would see something that I loved in each space.
Bought a few smalls to take home with me to remember the day!
My favorite- Nick Alain. I immediately fell in love with his entire store…. I could not take pictures- but I did find many on the internet that I can share with you…. Steampunk meets industrial meets vintage. He is very talented…and it was awesome to just see him in his gallery talking to his clients. What a privilege!
Sorry that this has taken so much time to get out to you. I will let the pictures speak for themselves!! I cannot wait until the next one!! (all pictures taken with permission of booth vendors)
