Today is National Teddy Bear day. Yes- it seems that they have a day for everything nowadays. But who can resist their cuteness. Their cuddliness. Not everyone will admit it- but at one time or another many of us have relied on or confided in a teddy bear. I happen to still have mine- as it is the first “pick” that I can remember at the age of 11. I was so excited- I got her for 10 cents at the old Tucson Greyhound Race Track Swap Meet.
Lulu as she is named, has been with me my whole life pretty much. She is named after my Great Grandma Lulu who passed in the 1980s and lived to be over one hundred years old. My Lulu has been with me (now safely packed away) for over 38 years now. I think she is a Steiff bear- but she does not have the metal button. She still squeaks. Do you have a special teddy bear? Pull him\her out and take a picture and share on Got Good Bones. And maybe seeing your old friend again will bring back a treasured memory or too- and do not forget to get a bear hug!
